Experience: 5 to 8 yrs

Mandatory Skills:
- Conversant & demonstrated proficiency in HDS 99XX range of products; including - SHADOWIMAGE & TRUECOPY working in a Multi-national organisation
- Experience & demonstrated capability in being able to work with remote teams
- At least 5 years of product knowledge in a similar or related capacity
- At least 8 years of working experience

Responsibilities:
- Management
- Resolve any storage shortages/outage
- Alert and resolve any performance issues and notify end-users
- Insure that data is available to all applications
- Ensure storage subsystems are operating in designed mode

- Work with application developers to determine storage requirements
- Work with application teams to optimize storage
- Backup
- Maintain proper backup schedule
- Verify successful backups & take corrective action
- Restore and recover data as requested
- Monitor current storage environment

- Reporting on status
- Capacity planning
- Forecast storage growth
- Determine allocation of different storage types
- Evaluations
- Provide input from vendor proposals Due diligence on new software. Drive vendor testing
- New installs.As the customer's storage lead, responsible for planning and execution of thestorage installation work Perform any host-level tasks needed to access new storage
